Tate Anderson is a 5-year-old about to enter the wonderful world of kindergarten in the fall. He lives in Windsor, CO, with his moms, big sister, Maya (his biggest fan), and a pack of fluffy huskies.
Tate is full of life and has a very strong sense of independence and determination - some people would call this stubbornness, but we think it's a unique ability to express his wants and needs. Tate loves being outside and playing with kids in our neighborhood. He loves swimming, looking at books, Halloween, and playing with toys that have arms that move. Most of all, Tate loves his family. It's impossible to be unhappy in Tate's presence.
Tate was born with an extra chromosome which resulted in Down syndrome, but it doesn't define him. If anything, this unexpected extra chromosome has uplifted our family and taught us patience and the ability to celebrate differences.
