Colton Camper

Colton Camper is an 11 year old boy from Timnath, CO and he is truly a Happy Camper! If there is one word that describes Colton that word would be “Joy.” He has a zest for life that is contagious and makes him so much fun to be around. One of his greatest joys in life no is music, especially live music! Colton and his mom are concert buddies and Colton has quite a collection of guitar picks gifted to him by several of his favorite local artists. An interesting fact is that “extreme love of music” is a documented “symptom” of Colton’s ultra rare genetic condition—Bosch Boonstra Schaaf Optic Atrophy Syndrome—BBSOAS. There are only around 300 people with BBSOAS in the world! Colton’s diagnosis comes with many challenges but none of them keep Colton from living every day like it’s the best day of his life!

In addition to music Colton loves his people. Whether they are family, friends or part of his team at school or at home, he makes everyone feel like they are the most important person in the world. He also loves to be outside and especially loves to swing! He loves donuts and thinks they should be a part of every school field trip! Colton loves books and reading and is starting to read himself!

Colton has made it his mission to prove every “expert” wrong by doing all the things he was never supposed to do and doing it all with a smile on his face. Although he does have a mind of his own and he will let you know if he’s not interested in something with his trademarked “Nopeski!” If you listen closely you might hear him say it when he’s decided he’s made it far enough down the runway!
