Jack is an 18-year-old “Texa-radoan,” having one boot in Texas, and the other boot in Colorado. Jack was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and moved to Timnath two years ago.
In Texas, Jack grew up hunting, fishing and exploring his family’s ranch and now in Colorado he continues to pursue these hobbies in the beautiful mountains. He was known as the sweet boy with the white hair, sparkling blue eyes and big smile who sparked a movement to open the 7th Rise School in the nation, the only full-inclusion preschool in Corpus Christi.
His infectious personality and strong work ethic has made him a leader on the Timnath High School United football field, basketball court, soccer field and track field. In between all his athletics, he’s the manager for the girls’ volleyball and basketball teams.
Right now, he is enjoying an internship at the Lee Martinez Farm, and takes immense pride in feeding, nurturing and cleaning up after all the animals. Last spring when the baby lambs were born, Jack’s compassion for all living creatures was on display as he lovingly carried the lambs to their new pen. Jack is the perfect blend of hard work and kindness.
Jack’s family thinks “Down Syndrome” should be called “Up Syndrome” because that is where Jack is going. He wants to be just like his big brother, playing high school sports, wearing a letter jacket, going to college and then become a boss like his dad.
Onward and Upward Jack!
